PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THIS FEATURE. I understand there is no plan to continue this feature on the new platform. It is a very useful tool to verify warranty coverage's, certified car programs, special coverage warranty and also recalls. It adds value when making a decision because it will show warranty work that was completed in the history. So say there is a common problem with a vehicle and the car is out of warranty but GMVIS shows that item was replaced while under warranty or just before warranty ran out. This gives the buyer more confidence and the buyer may end up paying more for the car which also benefits the seller. Since GM makes up a very large portion of the used car market it is a very nice feature that is convenient for GM dealers buying on SmartAuction but very valuable for non GM dealers. This is something unique to SmartAuction and it would be a shame to remove something that makes SmartAuction stand out from the other growing online auctions.
