Send out automated email to listed user and title contact at ten business days (two calendar weeks) instructing them that they should have the title or know that it is on it's way per our terms of use. They should contact the seller as that is the most expedient course or if they prefer, provide a link to send an email with the vehicle information including the VIN in the subject line to satitles@ally.com so that they can open an overdue title case. Too many dealers find they don't have the title on average 45 days after they buy the vehicle when they have sold it and it is now a legal problem. This may alleviate some of our title challenges and help us avoid potential litigation.
